Agenda: Exploration of what needs to be done to start our own Citizens on Patrol (C.O.P.) program. We'll discuss what our areas of focus will be, such as graffiti and property crimes, what kinds of supplies and equipment we will need, we'll look for team leaders & volunteers, and what the time commitments will be. Come find out how we can keep our neighborhood safe and beautiful with a little bit of time and effort, and work toward eliminating THIS (below) from Rolando Park!

Agenda: Multiple Community Councils / Citizens on Patrol

We are banding together with our two neighboring community councils of Redwood Village and Rolando Village to make this work with little effort. The people running the Talmadge C.O.P. along with some officers from SDPD are going to give us a presentation on how they made a huge difference in their neighborhood. They will explain how to be successful and safe, and will show us how to take down details, organize patrol schedules and create a presence that puts us in control.

At this meeting, we will hear updates on enforcement in Mid-City - we'll welcome presentations by SDPD's Graffiti Strike Team, Communications Division (911/531-2000), Youth Voice and more.

This meeting aims to provide you with an opportunity to continue the partnerships that exist between the San Diego Police Department, City Attorney's Office and your communities.

URGENT ALERT: SERIAL ROBBER AND RAPIST

A serial robber and rapist is targeting Asian women.

The first of six attacks occurred in June 2008 and the most recent was on April 28, 2009.

The suspect is described as a White or Latino male, approximately 30 years old, 5'6" tall, 160 lbs.

The suspect follows victims to their homes and attacks them with a knife. 

The suspect does not limit himself to one area of town, and has attacked women in Tierra Santa, Carmel Valley, Mission Valley, UCSD area and our own SDSU area.

Please attend an emergency public meeting to discuss safety measures and ask questions of your elected officials and law enforcement personnel. Assistant Chief Boyd Long of the San Diego Police Department along with members of the Sex Crimes Division will be there to brief the community.
